Vincent Darby interview on Colourful Radio 12-July-2020

Produced in Shaggyās Big Yard Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, āStill Here We Areā deploys a chilled, downbeat production that allows Vincentās flawless vocal prowess to take centre stage. He says,” ‘Still Here We Areā came from a place of not quite understanding the āsituation-shipā that I was in; a story about how something can be so good, but also so bad,ā.
The single follows a recent performance for the BBC Radio 1 āBig Weekenderā virtual event, with Darbyās stock continuing to rise. Having had the continued support of BBC Introducing, his previous release āBaby Oh Iā was spun on BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio 1 after being selected as their āTrack of the Weekā.
A graduate of the acclaimed Birmingham Ormiston Academy, Vincent Darby has been singing regularly from the age of five. He then performed at Birminghamās O2 Academy in support of Flo Rida, after a record producer watched a video of him performing āFallinā by Alicia Keys on YouTube. Last year, Vincent released his debut 3-track EP, ‘Baby Oh I’.
āStill Here We Areā sees the Birmingham artist flex his superb vocal talents to the full. With plenty to come from the soul singer, Vincent Darby is an artist to watch.
